This picture from my son's wedding last year implies perfection. In reality, it was the grit of preparation, relational tensions, and fatigue that culminated in a memorable event. In Grace from Grit the mirage of perfection is exposed to allow the grace of God to triumph over the grit and grind of motherhood.

Since residing on the Isle of Palms for thirty years, I have scavenged many shells, driftwood, and other beautiful items left onshore by the ocean. Many of my creations incorporate these finds.
Married forty-two years to Pete, Michelle is the mother of three adult children and one recently acquired daughter-in-law. Retired from teaching kindergarten, she spends her spare time teaching fitness classes, crafting, reading, writing, cooking, and volunteering. Faith has always been an essential part of her life.
